Police Stress Recognition, Response, and Mitigation
One of the most dominant factors in an officer's behavior is stress. Stress is not a one size fits all phenomenon. It is unique, presenting in different forms and affecting individual officers differently.
Our studies suggest the need for stress mitigation resources for officers and longitudinal stress analyses and psychological assessments to identify at-risk officers throughout their careers.
We can assist departments in setting up confidential stress recognition and mitigation programs. We can also provide individual officers, and their families, with stress awareness training to recognize the silent and not-so-silent signs of stress in their loved ones and what to do before it becomes too late.
